1. Place sterile eye pad over eye if necessary (sterile eye pad is not necessary if eye coverage is needed only to block light or for cosmetic reasons).
2. Place eye patch over sterile pad.
3. Hold the eye patch in place with one hand and adjust the elastic headband over the head with the other hand for a comfortable fit.
4. If air circulation is necessary for the healing of the injured eye, the eye patch should be removed periodically.
