How to adequately adjust a cane?
1. Place the cane on the opposite side of the injured leg. This diminishes the weight of the body on the injured leg while ensuring a natural walk.
2. Keep the body completely straight, shoulders relaxed.
3. The rubber tip must be at 6" (15 cm) approximately from the foot.
4. The handle should be at wrist level.
5. To shift your weight bring the injured leg forward at the same time as the cane.
