Dr Levi Minard, while living in Hants County, Nova Scotia, knew all too well how the cold, damp weather and back-breaking work of the longshore fisherman of Atlantic Canada can bring on sore, aching muscles, arthritis and joint pain. In the 1860s, he developed his now famous therapeutic liniment to bring comfort and relief to his patients.
